The Sum of Our Stings and Things
I released my fourth poetry book, Stingrays, about two years ago. At that time, I had only released the book through eBook format only. Now, for the first time, Stingrays is available in paperback through my site for a holiday discounted price. The concept of the poetry in that book details how certain situations in life may sting us. During those times, we may have very little time to react and no control of the outcomes. Little did I know the sting that was soon to come, which created the content of my new book, Eleven: Things We Never Said.
During the holiday season (and really any time of year), it’s easy to get caught up in depression. Believe me, I’ve been there and spent a large part of this year in that place. However, you are not alone and something good always comes from something bad. During those stinging, truthful moments in life that knock us down, it’s the best time to remember what we already have. It’s a time for gratefulness and restoration, defeat.
I sincerely hope that anyone who reads either of these books can take some positive reinforcements to keep pushing forward. Dark moments in life are only temporary.
