Campfire With Brandy At Night

I went to Whiskey Cake in Plano, TX a couple of weeks ago for a happy hour with some friends. Wait. Before I go any further, if you have not had their delicious whiskey cake, your life is not yet fulfilled. Trust me, it’s that good. So, back to today’s focus. I decided to try a new drink, Campfire Nights. Honestly, I’ve never had a drink from Whiskey Cake that I disliked. So, my expectations were set pretty high. Thankfully, Campfire Nights was not a disappointment.

The drink includes apple-infused, rye, laird’s apple brandy, cinnamon simple and old fashioned bitters. The best way I describe the drink is it tastes like a cold, spicy hot tottie. Yep, it’s good. The warmth of this drink (although the actual temperature is cold) is best suited for the winter months. However, I could drink this one year round.

Next time you’re at Whiskey Cake, make sure you get the Campfire Nights if you’re a fan of whiskey drinks. Don’t forget to get a piece of whiskey too, before you leave. Looking for a quick appetizer before dessert? I have you covered on that too. Whiskey Cake has some awesome fried green tomatoes (and I don’t even like tomatoes). Bottoms up. It’s Thirsty Thursday!
