A ‘Pick Me Up’ for the New Year

There’s nothing like the smell of a fresh cup of coffee in the morning. Something about it feels invigorating before the first sip. Well, at least for those that drink coffee. I love the smell but despise the taste. Nevertheless, we all need a pick me up from time to time. That boost may come in the form of something other than a container that holds 12 ounces of contained energy. Sometimes, we need a boost for our dreams as well. We need support, guidance and often most of all, accountability.
After I released Can I Pick Your Brain?, a ten year account of my journey as an author and publisher, in 2013, one word resounded the loudest: accountability. How do I hold myself accountable while I’m writing? The two most important words in that question are “I” and “myself”. The author is the most important element of the book because without that, there is no story. This is the foundation that Pick Me Up: An Author’s Accountability Journal rests on.
Pick Me Up is a guided journal and workbook that follows these seven principles that can not only be applied to publishing a book but for life as well.
Wake Up
Get Up
Pick Up
Keep Up
Lace Up
Chin Up
Sauce Up
The official release of Pick Me Up is February 4, 2026 (my birthday). However, don’t miss out on the presale specials that will last for the next couple of weeks. Isn’t it way past time for a pick me up?
