Author: 7th Sign

I'm an author who has written four poetry books, Blurred Vision, Hindsight 20/20, Honesty Box and most recently, Stingrays. I released my first novel, Fortune Cookie, in 2015 and I'm finalizing the follow up, called No Cream In The Middle, for a July 2017 release. I enjoy helping other writers reach their goals, which inspired me to launch my own publishing company, 7th Sign Publishing.

Is Tha Carter V Worth The Weight?

Although Lil Wayne’s last studio album was 2015’s Free Weezy Album, it’s been seven years since the release of Tha Carter IV. Now, he’s back with the latest installment of the autobiographical series, Tha Carter V. Early projections state that sales could be in upwards of 500,000 (including streams and traditional sales) in the first […]

One Sour Tincup And A Lazy Dog

I recently visited Lazy Dog for the first time. Their food was great, including some amazing donut holes with Nutella. Who doesn’t like Nutella? Not to mention I had the best hush puppies I’ve ever tasted there. However, today is Friday Eve so you already know what time it is. Thirsty Thursday. I haven’t posted […]

Mariah Carey: ‘Butterfly’ Is Officially Legal

Mimi a.k.a. The Elusive Chanteuse a.k.a. Mariah Carey has a lot to celebrate this week. First, she has a brand new single, “GTFO”. However, I’ll get to that a little later. She is also celebrating the 21 year anniversary of her classic album, Butterfly. Although it’s a bit disturbing how obsessed (pun intended) she became […]

Eminem Gets Back To His Old Self On ‘Kamikaze’

He’s baaaackk!! Slim Shady a.k.a. Marshall Mathers a.k.a. Eminem dropped a surprise album last night, entitled Kamikaze. The album, executive produced by Dr. Dre, finds Eminem in rare form and that’s saying a lot for him. He slams everyone from Donald Trump to Charlamagne and Harvey Weinstein. His flows are tight as ever and he […]

Janet Jackson has made one hell of a comeback in the last year. Then again, her influence has never really left. After a well deserved break with her new baby, Eissa, she returned with her first leg of the State of the World tour at the end of 2017. The tour is still in full […]

Justin Ruff Gives New Blue Moon

It’s rare to find genuine R&B music these days. This is why (with a few exceptions), I’ve been resorting to some 90s classics lately. However, I have been following Justin Ruff and his music for a couple of years. His brand of music never disappoints. So, I was excited to hear his latest single, “Every […]

Is There Really A Perfect ’10’?

Here’s The Backstory… Last night I watched the TV show Beat Shazam. I started reading a book I’ve been trying to finish up. The TV was still on and the revamped dating show, Love Connection started to play. I got a little distracted from my reading watching the first segment of the show (before I […]

Tell Em Why U Mad

Last Sunday, I had a bit of an embarrassing moment that happened to me. Most of my close friends and family know that Martin is one of my favorite sitcoms. I found a nostalgic, free Martin app a few months ago and I sometimes post memes and gifs from it. The app also has filters […]

A Double Twisted Mule On Tap

Last weekend, I had lunch with some friends at Twisted Root. I always enjoy their burgers, but decided to try out one of their drinks as well. I landed on the Twisted Mule. The drink is the restaurant’s play on the classic Moscow Mule. I took a gamble, because I’ve had as many good Moscow […]
